The criteria for the ranking will be separated into different parts: * Skills * Team playing * Involvement * Behavior You can gain points for each criteria. The sum of all criteria will result into your total points. All ranks have a minimum value of points. You will have the highest rank that has a less or equal value as your points. So if you have less skills, you will be able to compensate this with team play and is still able to get a high rank. The 'behavior' criteria differs from the others, because this one will not be awarded with positive points, but negative ones. You will start with 0 points on this criteria. When you misbehave, the points for ‘behavior’ will be decreased, resulting in less total points thus a lower rank. When the behavior penalty gets too low, you will automatically be put on probation or into prison. The 'involvement' criteria is divided in two parts: 1. The first is rewarded manually by the council/clan leaders. 2. The second will be automatically be calculated by the site and depends on your involvement on the site 1. For example, the number of visits, posts, chats, etc will give you a positive score 2. Not visiting for a week will result into a (negative) penalty score. The longer you don't visit, the higher this penalty will become _________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________ How skills can be increased: * Skills are broken in to 5 parts, each containing 10 points. * The parts are the genres of each MMO. * MMOFPS, MMORTS, MMORPG, Console, and Actual "Skill" in-game. Example, you only play a RTS game so the maximum you can earn is 10 points. You'll be judged then on a scale from 1-10. What is 'Team Play'? Teamplay is your contribution to your team and how you benefit the team itself. There are three areas of Teamplay: Communication, Knowledge and Application Examples of Communication: o Giving consistent radar updates in FPS games o Watching the map and for signs of enemy, movement, objective if displayed and relaying it to the rest of your members Examples of team-play 'Knowledge': o Teaching how to use weapons o Tips on increasing skill o Tactical map positions o Tactical positions used by enemies * Helping others gain game-ranks or clan medals Examples of Application: oFor example: you don’t get kills/game-points yourself, but others do because of your support. oTeaching other clan members special skills or skills they don't know yet o Fixing vehicles or healing team-members if that’s possible in the game Points given for team playing will usually not been taken away. For example, once you have taught all your skills to other members, there’s nothing to teach anymore and you did a great job. It won’t be fare to take those points away after you stop teaching (because there’s nothing more to teach). However points can be decreased in case of: * Team-killing * Extreme solo-play in a negative way * Too much camping What is 'Involvement' Examples of involvement are: * Sincere interest in other clan members * Sincere interest in the clan * Promoting the clan positively to others outside the clan * Defend the clan when others insult it * Frequent visits to our website Just visiting to keep updated on the latest things, is being involved. Frequently posting in the forums or chat box (useful posts, so without spamming it) is more involvement. * Etc. --------------------------------------------------- Site Involvement / Site Penalty The 'Site Involvement' will automatically be calculated by the system and will be based on your involvement regarding the website: * Your number of visits * Your number of forum posts * Your number of chats The 'Site Penalty' will also be calculated automatically. When you don't visit the site for longer than a week, you will start building up this penalty value. The longer you won't visit, the higher this value will become. In case you have a penalty value and visit the site again, the penalty won't be increased for a week. Starting from the second day you visit, the penalty will decrease 1 point each day you visit. Starting from the second day you visit, the penalty will decrease 1 point each day you visit. The total Site Involvement score will be decreased with a penalty score for not visiting the site: The penalty will be -2 points for each 7 days not visited, with a maximum of -40 points. In case a penalty has been given and the user visits the site again, the penalty will decrease with 1 point on each day the user visit. This until the penalty will be 0 again, or the user hasn’t visited again for 7 days. In case the user hasn’t visited again for 7 days, the penalty will be increased again with 5 points each 7 days, starting from the current value. Notice: The penalty system may be 'frozen' per individual user, which means the penalty will remain on the current level, regardless the visits by the user (for example: in case a user notifies you about absence with a good reason, or in times of holidays) What is 'Behavior' This criteria works the other way around as the others. Each member starts with 0 points, which is also the maximum value. Instead of positive points, this one will give you negative ones. Reasons to decrease points for behavior are: * Use of inappropriate language when there are kids in the room * Team-killing This may actually cost you a lot of points, but has been separated into these parts: o Team-killing by accident: No points o Team-killing by accident, but ‘you should have known better’: few points for example: aiming a rocket at a bad-guy, but it was obvious that a team-member was standing next to him o Team-killing on purpose: A lot of points, possibly straight to ‘prison’, or even being kicked out of the clan * Harassment of other people By which harassment of an other clan member cost you more points as harassment of a non-clan member * Disobeying our ‘Rules of Engagement’ For example: o No glitching o No code-breakers (except ‘brights’ within GRJS) o When the game is about ‘the last soldier stands’: leaving the game during play (also when you’ve already died) o Disobeying a direct order of an Officer or General In case that order made any sense and is clan and game related (‘get me a cup of coffee’, or ‘do my homework’ isn’t one of them) * Spamming our mail addresses or website (forum, chatbox, PM), and any hack-attempts (succeeded or not) on one of our servers * Etc. How to increase points If you’re behaving correctly for a long period of time (depending on the misbehavior), your points may be increased again, until you are back at 0 points. Table of points- This table will be used for indication. Each case of misbehave will be sentenced individually, because each behavior may have it’s own softening or hardening circumstances. So each sentence will usually be somewhere around these indication values, but may be lower or higher per case. Misbehave 1st time/2nd time Glitching -3 /-6 Code-Breaker -2 /-4 Leaving game (bailing) to avoid negative game-score -4 /-8 Disobey a direct order of an Officer or General -10 /-30 Harassment of non-clan members -10 /-30 Harassment of other clan-members -20 /-40 Spamming (mail or website) -30 /-60 Hack-attempt (any of our servers, succeeded or not) -100 and prison, or kicked Kicked and banned Team killing: By accident 0 /0 By accident, but ‘you should have known better’ -5 /-10 On purpose -50 /-100 and prison, or kicked Extra Points Given out by Leader and HC during special events.
